How do I make a warranty claim?

If you would like to make a warranty claim, please fill in our Warranty Claim form here. You will need to provide your order number, product details and describe the damage to your item as well as how it occurred.

One of our customer service team will get back to you as soon as possible and then review your claim and make a decision, providing you with full information on next steps via email.

Do farans products come with a warranty?

All farans products come with a form of warranty however these vary depending on material and style. Please check below to see which items have which warranty:

Leather Products:
We offer a one-year manufacturing defect warranty from date of purchase on all of our leather products. This warranty does not cover regular wear and tear and a final decision on the nature of any damage falls to our customer service and productions team. This warranty provides reassurance that should any manufacturing defect become apparent during the warranty period we will endeavour to repair or replace your item if we cannot repair or spare parts cannot be obtained.

Canvas Products:
We offer a one-year manufacturing defect warranty from date of purchase on all of our canvas products. This warranty does not cover regular wear and tear and a final decision on the nature of any damage falls to our customer service and productions team. This warranty provides reassurance that should any manufacturing defect become apparent during the warranty period we will endeavour to repair or replace your item if we cannot repair or spare parts cannot be obtained.

Suitcases:
We offer a lifetime manufacturing defect warranty from date of purchase on all of our suitcases. This warranty does not cover regular wear and tear and a final decision on the nature of any damage falls to our customer service and productions team. This warranty provides reassurance that should any manufacturing defect become apparent during the warranty period we will endeavour to repair, provide new parts, or replace your item if we cannot repair or spare parts cannot be obtained.

Do I need to register for a warranty?

There is no need to register to validate the warranty.

All warranty claims must be supported by order confirmation and proof of purchase, without which, claims will not be valid.

Please note: bank/credit card statements are not accepted as proof of purchase

If I buy a farans product from a different retailer, does the warranty still apply?

Our warranty only extends to Suitcases purchased through different retailers and does not cover any Leather or Canvas products. In order to make a claim on an item purchased through a separate retailer, you must provide the Warranty Hangtag included with your item at purchase as well as proof of purchase.

What is covered by the warranty?

The warranty provided on all farans products are valid agaisnt manufacturing defects for the period of the warranty from the date of purchase.

Should any such defect become apparent during the warranty period, we will endeavour to repair, provide new parts or replace your item as a final option. Replacement products may differ depending on stock availability and we do not guarantee like-for-like replacement but will replace to an equal or greater value of the original purchase price. Any replacement products will be covered by the warranty equal to the length of warranty time remaining on your original item.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Our warranty covers against manufacturing defects, however we are unable to take responsibility for any damage that may arise due to normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, misuse, accident, abuse, exposure to extreme temperatures, acids or solvents or mishandling including handling by third parties.

The warranty only extends to the original owner of the item.

Any damage incurred during transport (e.g airlines, ferrys, trains...) cannot be claimed under warranty. Luggage damages can be claimed from the respective airline/travel provider you are travelling with.

Are products purchased or donated through relove covered by warranty?

The warranty on all of our products can only be attributed to its original purchase owner. This means any items acquired through relove with any defect, either manufacturing or cosmetic, cannot be claimed under warranty.
